Ohanas

For our trip to Florida friends of Stephen's got us a gift card and reservations to Ohana's. Ohana's is an all you can eat Hawaiian restaurant on the Disney World resort that takes months to get a reservation. We were floored by this sweet gift!
Our reservations were for 8:00 pm on the night we got to Florida. We were so afraid we wouldn't make it. We got to Give Kids the World, checked in, looked around and drove to Disney.

Meg and I were suffering from jet lag and exhaustion and got goofy.
Okay so the goofiness was starting to spread.

Notice Megan's eyes starting to close.
 Brandon gave up.
And of course, Steve is still going.
So my children find the totem pole fanny and think that is hilarious. Figures! We are at Disney and this is what grabs their attention.

Ohana's was AWESOME! It was located next to Magic Kingdom so we ended the night seeing the fireworks across the lagoon. Very cool and a great start to our Make A Wish trip!

iFly...indoor skydiving

We were privileged on our trip to Florida to be able to go to iFly which is an indoor skydiving place. I really didn't think the kids would do it but they were thrilled. I do believe this was the highlight of our week. Highly recommend it!
By the way, the kids were ADORABLE! Their little cheeks were flapping in the wind so they looked like chipmunks! Cute!!!

Why?

So you are probably wondering why we would post a video of Nicholas crying. Well this is not a typical cry...this is his new pouty cry. Amazingly, since they said he would never cry, Nicholas has developed several forms of crying: no car seat cry, no bath cry, no bedtime cry, and recently I am mad and going to pout cry.

He just cracks us up when he does this so we were so excited we got it on video. He starts off with a pout and then comes this gravelly, deep throat whine but as soon as you tell him 'it's ok" he stops. This time he was trying to sleep and the kids were so loud he couldn't. Finally he gave up and got so mad that this was his response. Take note of his first word!

Did you catch the "why?" Isn't he adorable?? He has this whole family wrapped around his finger.

For Aunt Marty...

And by the way, big brother got a smack down by his little sister for goofing around during her debut.

What does it take?

What does it take to take down a 12 year old boy and a grown man?

Putting a bunny on a leash!
You should see all of the scratches on both boys as a result of trying to get the leash on cuddles (there was a lot of girlish screams coming from the boys as well!)

Father's Day

Stephen had been mentioning for a while that he would like to have a fire pit. So...I figured why not surprise him with one for Father's Day.

 He's such a goofball.

Stephen's new fire pit. He would be so proud. I got FREE shipping AND I did research before I ordered it! Many nights of fun to come...

Summer Fun!

We bought this big ball today for the kids at Costco for only $20. They actually climb in and go for a roll.

Brandon

And Megan.
You can hear me screaming for Steve to stop the ball. Mother's instinct took over and I had the fear of her rolling off down the street.

Strong Enough by Matthew West

This song could pertain to any of us but as I listen to the words I can't help think of my Nicholas. I imagine this is what my little boy thinks. Nicholas keeps fighting relying on the Lord's strength to make it through his daily struggles.  Nicholas...my hero!
